  1. Download the Windows installer

    Save BoralancesLauncher-WebSetup-1.7.6.exe and open it when the download finishes. This release is not code signed; Windows may show a publisher warning.

  2. Review the license and install

    Read the MIT License, accept its terms to continue, and select your install location. Setup includes desktop and Start menu shortcuts. It downloads and verifies the application in 5 parts. If you have saved all parts beside setup, it can install the launcher offline.

  3. Create your first instance

    Sign in with Boralances or BoralancesChatting, then pick a ready instance or build your own. Your login is saved on this PC. Game files, Java and mods download when needed, so the first setup requires internet.

Installing without a connection?

Download the setup file and all 5 application parts. Save them together in the same folder, keeping their filenames, then run setup. Each part stays below 24 MB; setup verifies and joins them automatically. Minecraft, Java and mods still download separately when needed.

How do I uninstall the launcher?

Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps and choose Boralances Launcher → Uninstall. You can also use “Uninstall Boralances Launcher” in its Start menu folder, or run Uninstall Boralances Launcher.exe from the installation folder. The matching removal wizard handles the installed app and shortcuts.

Will uninstall remove my worlds?

Normal uninstall keeps installed instances and preferences in %APPDATA%/BoralancesLauncher/data. Portable copies store data beside their executable and are separate from the installed app. Keep backups of your worlds before moving or removing data folders.

Do I need a Minecraft account?

Boralances or BoralancesChatting sign-in is required to use the launcher and is saved on your Windows account. A linked chat account is shared with in-game chat. Minecraft sign-in is separate. Local offline profiles are available; authenticated servers require a legitimate Minecraft account. Microsoft sign-in requires the launcher’s configured Microsoft application.

What if CurseForge blocks a pack download?

Imported packs search Modrinth for verified compatible alternatives, preferring an identical file. The importer reports replacements and anything unavailable. Different compatible releases may need pack testing. Direct CurseForge downloads continue to respect author permissions.

Can other players see my cosmetics?

Enable shared wardrobe on a CPM-enabled server. Receiving players need CPM, Boralances Client and its Ears provider. Custom capes and wings cannot appear automatically to unmodified clients. Export styled skin lets you upload skin-layer artwork to your owned Minecraft account.

Does every mod work on every version?

Available game and loader combinations depend on upstream releases. Mods and shaders need compatible versions, and performance depends on your hardware and configuration. The built-in Boralances in-game addon targets the four ready Fabric versions.

What license does the launcher use?

Boralances Launcher is distributed under the MIT License. Minecraft and third-party mods, services and assets retain their own licenses and terms. This is an independent launcher and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
